AED, or Automated External Defibrillator, is a portable emergency device available to the public, mainly used to treat cardiac arrest.
It can automatically analyze the electrocardiogram obtained through electrodes placed on the patient's skin and identify shockable heart rhythms. When a shockable heart rhythm is detected, it will automatically perform defibrillation.
